Experience

ORIA Arquitectos is a singular and renowned architecture and urban planning studio that has left its mark on every place it has designed.

What We Do

With over fifty years of active practice, ORIA has designed and led more than 1,000 projects in the Costa del Sol and in international markets including Brazil, Colombia, Mexico and France. From signature villas and residential complexes to hotels, marinas, golf courses and urban developments, every project is shaped by a commitment to quality architecture and a deep sensitivity to the character of each place.

In recent years, ORIA has expanded its activity into its own property development, acting as developer and builder on high-end residential projects. This vertical integration — from design through to handover — allows meticulous control of each phase of the process and ensures the final result fully reflects the architectural vision that originated it.

Architecture

Based primarily in the Costa del Sol, we approach each design with specific objectives in mind. Starting from a unique on-site study for each project, we seek harmony between the natural and the built; landscape, views and integration must be an implicit part of the work carried out by our architects. This is accompanied by a pursuit of comfort in the spaces created, with attention to light conditions and materials as the starting point for an interior design approach.

Urban Planning & Development

Large-scale urban planning and design have always been closely linked to the projects carried out by the studio. From plots of up to 20 hectares and Mediterranean villages to urban developments and small communities, ORIA Arquitectos has established a strong presence in Spain, Mexico and Brazil. Residential, commercial, hotel and amenity uses, together with infrastructure, have completed this step preceding architecture.

Engineering & Marinas

At ORIA Arquitectos we have designed numerous landmark structures, most notably Puerto Marina in the Costa del Sol. This project demonstrates our experience in developing architecture on land reclaimed from the sea. Artificial islands built in the late twentieth century required mastery of the most complex engineering disciplines combined with a unique design, resulting in a lasting influence on contemporary Mediterranean architecture.
